Modelling for a class: what actually happens
A complimentary service by the best hands in the region, in exchange for sitting still. What to expect from the model program.

Every hands-on class needs hair, skin or nails to work on. The Academy's model program fills that need with people who want a complimentary service done slowly and well, and who are comfortable being part of a lesson.
Before the day
You apply once with two or three photos and a note on what you are open to. When an educator posts a call that matches, you receive an email with the service, the date, the place and what they are looking for. You book your place in one click. The educator confirms, and the address and notes arrive by email.
On the day
Arrive with clean, product-free hair unless told otherwise. The educator consults with you as with any client, explains the plan, and asks about anything you would rather not change. The class watches, asks questions and sometimes works alongside the educator on your service. Expect it to take longer than a salon visit; teaching is slow on purpose.
After
You leave with the service finished to a professional standard and, often, product recommendations for keeping it that way. Some educators add a product gift or Academy points. You are asked before any photograph is taken, and you can decline.
Who models
Anyone eighteen or older who likes the idea. Students, professionals from other fields, people who simply want excellent hair. The only requirement is to read the call carefully and show up.
